BETTY WAS AN ARTIST, JUST LIKE BEE. SHE LOVED HAVING KIDS TO HER STUDIO. Sometimes they would dress up as witches who wore tall boots and pointy hats, or pretend to be pirates who wore capes and eye patches and said, “Argggh!” Sometimes they would have puppet shows and talk in funny voices, and sometimes they would just act silly.

Bee loved to paint, but didn’t always love her paintings. One day she gets frustrated with her work and tears her painting up in little pieces. This creates a bit of magic and Bee’s Oddabees come to life!

BEE

There once was a nice lady named Bee. Bee was an artist, and she did three things every day. Each day she would paint pictures, eat at least one cookie and walk with her little dog, McDivot.

When Bee painted she used many different colors. Bee liked to paint with red, blue and yellow, and colors with funny names like, ochre and one called alizarin crimson.

Bee did her drawings and paintings in her studio. There were dollhouses and funny clocks in the studio. There was a picture of McDivot with pointy ears, and another of many chickens all pecking the ground.

There were lots of books, robot and horse puppets and a funny rat skeleton.
